Kenny Oaster is a visual artist and educator based in Atlanta. Interested in art as a tactile, irreverent thing, he is drawn to cardboard and papier mache sculpture, hand-quilting and weaving practices. His work proffers a Southern lens joined with a queer sensibility (or: jesterly cynicism) and often playfully engages with the written word as a visual object. He holds a BFA from Georgia State University.
